   I first met La Mar in 2011 when I began working at GM.

I arrived to my first day at GM with a black eye. Just a few days prior to my start date, I had been driving a vehicle under the influence and without a license. I wreck the vehicle and injured myself and a friend. I was a 23-year-old kid who had lost his way and had no direction or motivation.
 

I do not know what La Mar saw in me, but one day he approached me and said he wanted me to work for him in the quality department. His energy was always high and he couldn't have know how much I needed this at the time. La Mar was much more than a boss to me; he was a mentor. He asked me about my dreams and I would give some rambling response based on fantasy. La Mar made me believe in myself and my dreams.
 

As a direct result of his influence on me, I enrolled in school and worked extremely hard. After I graduated in 2021, I applied for and was given an opportunity to become a salaried team member for GM and in 2024 I received a promotion to General Supervisor.
 

I am very proud of my story and how I changed the trajectory of my life and career. However, I cannot overstate the importance of La Mar's encouragement and influence on me. I like to think that I've always had the skills to be successful, however it was La Mar that gave me the confidence to believe in myself.
 

If La Mar can do this for me, I'm certain his impact is capable of reaching much further. This is why I recommend La Mar. I cannot think of a better business for him than this new venture.
